Since October 7th, this past year has seemed to many like one long, continuous day. Nevertheless, we must rise from the ashes and promise ourselves that we will rebuild Israel in the spirit of the prophets’ vision and the Declaration of Independence, and according to Theodor Herzl’s vision, until we create our ideal society and bring peace.

On the first anniversary of the Black Saturday events, from October 24, 2024 (22 Tishrei, Simchat Torah) until November 4, 2024, we will mark the “Ten Days of Hope.” We invite you to take part in various projects, use educational materials and video clips, and share your programs. Together, we will build hope.

For us to recover, we have to remember and recount on the one hand, but on the other, we must also look forward.
The Ten Days of Hope initiative brings the understanding that we must look to the future without forgetting what we’ve been through. We are working towards this on several levels: memorial and commemoration events (from past to present), holiday ceremonies and rituals (present), and content-based modules and kits (from present to future).

We will conclude the Ten Days of Hope on November 4, 2024, marking 29 years since the assassination of then-Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin. We’ll begin the 30th year of remembrance with workshops, events, and programs focusing on the core values of Israeli democracy and the fight for peace and social justice.

You are invited to share your programs under the hashtag #DaysofHope and download the Ten Days of Hope logo here.

**Hope is a process; we will continue this beyond this program.
